What is a TikTok video downloader?

What works and what does not
Public videos work. Videos from private accounts cannot be downloaded, because they are visible only to approved followers. Videos that have been deleted, or removed by TikTok, are gone for everyone.
TikTok occasionally restricts access from certain regions or changes how its pages are delivered. If a public video fails, waiting a little and trying again usually solves it.
Captions and transcripts are available only for some TikTok videos, since the platform does not publish caption tracks consistently. When a video has none, those tabs do not appear.
Respecting creators
Saving a video to watch later or to keep a copy of your own content is fine. Re-uploading someone else’s TikTok as your own is not — it is their work, and platforms treat reposts as copyright violations. When in doubt, credit the creator and ask first.
