What is a YouTube Shorts downloader?
YouTube Shorts are vertical videos of up to a few minutes, made for phones. The YouTube app lets you save them for offline viewing inside the app, but not as a file you can move, edit or keep. A Shorts downloader gives you the real MP4.
Copy the link of the Short from the Share menu, paste it into Clip Converter and choose a quality. The video is saved in its original 9:16 vertical shape, with no watermark added. If it is the sound you want, the Audio tab saves it as MP3.
How to use the YouTube Shorts Downloader
- Copy the Shorts link. In the YouTube app press Share → Copy link, or copy the youtube.com/shorts/… URL from your browser.
- Paste it on the homepage. Paste the link into the box on the Clip Converter homepage and press Get Clip to load the available qualities.
- Download. Choose a resolution for MP4, or open the Audio tab for MP3.

Quality and format

Reposting: what is allowed
Creators most often download their own Shorts to publish them on TikTok or Instagram Reels, which is entirely fine. Reposting another person’s Short without permission is not: it infringes their copyright, and platforms remove such uploads and penalise the accounts behind them. Use other people’s work for reference, commentary or inspiration, and ask before you reuse it.
